ALLISON – The Butler County Board of Supervisors, in conjunction with County Officials, decided County Offices will be closed to the public, effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 12:00 PM until further notice. This change is due to the national emergency regarding the COVID-19.
No public access to the Courthouse building will be available. Clerk of Court will be by appointment only. County offices will remain staffed and people need to call ahead to determine if an in person visit is needed.
All offices request citizens use the County drop box to conduct business when possible.
If you are filing papers for the June 2 Primary Election, please call 319-267-2670. The Auditor’s Office will provide directions to you in order to receive the paperwork for the March 20, 2020 and March 25, 2020 deadlines. Deadlines have not changed.
Citizens are encouraged to conduct business via email, mail, fax, or online when possible. Please visit www.butlercoiowa.org to locate contact information for County offices.
Please remember, wash your hands, cover your cough/sneeze, and stay home when you are sick or not feeling well.
